It was an idea that would transform the construction industry. Instead of supplying mortars and concrete as onsite mixes as was the case in the past, the American construction engineer visionary and entrepreneur Arthur C. Avril hit upon the idea in 1980 of manufacturing the ingredients as exact formulae for ready mixed drymortar mixes on an industrial scale.
In 1981, Arthur C. Avril established a new company to manufacture a single product – Non Shrink Grout – for use by the rapidly expanding national highway and road system. The product become known as KingKrete Grout in 1982 and 3 rectangular mortar bags placed over one another – was adopted as the company’s image.

The product range was expanded into Concrete Repairs, Flooring Systems, Waterproofing Systems, Second Generations of Concrete Admixtures. KingKrete® starting exporting in Central & South Americas through its distributors network.
KingKrete® became the first company to deliver dry mix mortars & concrete Admixtures through state of art bulk transportation system.
LAND MARK PROJECT IN HISTORY OF KINGKERETE ®
In 2000, the New York Port Authority led an effort on behalf of the U.S. National Parks Service to rehabilitate stairwells and tunnels under the national monument and throughout the Fort Hood foundation using KingKrete® KingCoat. Acies Construction applied nearly 3,800 80-pound bags of KingKrete® One Coat KingRep 60 to strengthen new and existing archways that were widened over stairwells and tunnels in compliance with current industry building codes. As a result, the Statue of Liberty can once again safely host millions of visitors each year.
KingKrete® Inc, manufacturing facilities and offices got ISO 9001 Certified .
KingKrete® introduced several new product groups to complete the ideology of Full Range. The product line can now cater for every stage of the project. KingKrete backward integrated into third generation of Admixtures.
